Yang won the 2006 ANZ Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as an amateur to become the youngest winner ever on the LET at 16 years, 6 months, 8 days.
She was offered a special exemption to join the LET at the age of 17 and became the youngest member.
Yang was also the youngest to win the Queensland Amateur Championship in 2005 and finished second at the 2006 Australian Junior Championship.
